Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Med/Surg 6K Unit, located in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring a full time RN (Registered Nurse) Unit Coordinator.As a Unit Coordinator, you will function in a charge nurse / staffing capacity role at times, but also have alternate tasks ranging from audits, staff schedules, patient experience, and committee work. - There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. - If you desire, there are promotional opportunities into additional leadership roles or to advance your level of care in a variety of settings. • Full Time, 36 hours per week
• Night Shift
• Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience is required

We are a 42-bed Medical Specialties Unit. Our diverse patient population includes but is not limited to -CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis w/ Surgical Interventions, Wound Care and, an assortment of varying disease processes.We one main Nursing Station and 7 Substations. - Within those Substations you can visualize your patient assignment and govern your own work area.
