Sentara Medical Group Telehealth Services is now hiring a Full-Time
REMOTE Medical Assistant!
**ALL QUALIFIED CANDIDATES CAN RECEIVE A $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!

Hours: Monday, Friday, Flexible (6:30a-7p). Saturday and Sunday
(REQUIRED) 6:30a-3p. Off on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
This position is 60%-70% Administrative and requires a strong
working knowledge of insurance verification and referral
processing.
**VIRGINIA RESIDENTS ONLY**
As aMedical Assistantwith Sentara, you will work directly with a
doctor conducting phlebotomy (lab), clinical and clerical duties.
This position's primary responsibilities include bringing the
patients into rooms, taking vitals, verifying patient information,
and preparing them for the doctor. You will find that teamwork is
exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care
for our patients.

Job Summary
Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and
procedures based on training, education, and competency
evaluations, and as delegated by and under the
direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse
Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting or one year
experience as an EMT, Paramedic, and/or Corpsman preferred.
Phlebotomy experience preferred, plus experience with electronic
medical records. Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical
Assistant or certified EMT-B required. Existing Medical Assistants
hired prior to 12/1/14 may obtain the Cert MA or Reg MA
certification or obtain the Assessment Based Recognition Order
Entry (ABR-OE) prior to 6/30/15. BLS required within 90 days of
hire.
Qualifications:
HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart
Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) -
Certification - American Medical Certification Association (AMCA),
EMT Basic - Certifications - National Registry Of Emergency Medical
Technician (NREMT), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) -
Certification - American Medical Technologists (AMT)
