Position Summary
A Facilities Supervisor oversees the maintenance and operations of
a facility, ensuring that it is clean, safe, and functional. They
manage a team of janitorial services, maintenance technician,
coordinate repairs and maintenance projects, oversee the budget for
facility-related expenses, and ensure compliance with safety
regulations. Additionally, they may be responsible for managing
vendor relationships, implementing facility improvement
initiatives, and coordinating facility inspections.
Functions & Duties
--- Manage the day-to-day operations of all CMA CGM America, CMA
CGM Canada and APL US locations to include planning and managing
facility services including cleaning spaces, grounds maintenance,
project management, and function related to the parking lot.
--- Liaison with all CCA site executives to ensure all facilities
related operations needs are captured, communicated & actioned.
--- Work with internal staff to identify their needs and assure
their satisfaction. Provide prompt response to their requests and
issues
--- Assist management with space planning and proper space
utilization including all departmental moves and changes across all
sites.
--- Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and
equipment.
--- Oversee environmental health and safety of the office space in
coordination with the SSE Officer.
--- Responsible for overseeing the contract for the building
electronic security system in coordination with RSO.
--- Serve as lead to the Emergency Response Team. Provide training
and support of Emergency Evacuation Plans in coordination with
SSE.
--- Responsible for creation and supervision of the access control
policy /badge distribution in coordination with RSO.
--- Manage and monitor facilities contracts and contacts with
suppliers, and insurance policies.
--- Coordinate on site special event logistics, presentation,
materials support and pre and post event evaluations.
--- Ensure backup generator capabilities, to ensure the
continuation of core business functions in emergency
situations.
--- Manage and maintain the real estate database to provide
management with real estate lease dates and provide necessary
headcount forecasting.
--- Perform cost reduction research / initiatives to maximize
cost-effectiveness.
--- Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
--- Skills in using Microsoft Office software, particularly skilled
with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point required.
--- Ability to multi-task while maintaining focus and attention to
detail.
--- Discretion and confidentiality are essential.
--- A self-starter who does not need to wait for direction on daily
support functions, but who understands when to ask for
clarification or permission to move forward with a decision or
delivery of a project.
--- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational skills
